Vehicle Donation

Your unwanted car, truck, motorcycle, boat, or RV can make a difference to Asbury.

You can donate any car, truck, RV or boat - in any condition and from any location - to help Asbury maintain its facilities and get a tax deduction at the same time! It's quick, easy and an all-around win-win giving opportunity. What better way to get rid of an old or extra vehicle than turning it into the resources needed to maintain our much used facilities? Through this simple act you will be helping to maintain the facilities that house all of the programs that are so important to your spiritual life.

Cost

The vehicle donation service is free – there is no cost to you and no cost to Asbury. All expenses are deducted from the gross sales price and, if the costs ever exceed the sales price, the V-DAC covers those costs. The average return to Asbury will be between 70-75% of the net recovery amount (gross sales price less third party transportation and auction costs and title, tax, and DMV costs). V-DAC returns an average of 61% of the gross sales price to the non-profit.

The Donation Process

To donate a vehicle, you can go the V-DAC website, click here V-DAC. Click the Donate Now Online button and input the vehicle and pick-up info in the Donation Wizard on the website. When you have finished inputting the information in the Wizard, print out the Wizard completed page. Print and sign the Odometer Statement and the Limited Power of Attorney and mail it to the Processing Center.

Or, you can call 877-999-8322 and V-DAC’s trained Service Center Staff will walk you through the donation process.

V-DAC provides free pick-up within a few days of receiving the paperwork that you mail them. And V-DAC accepts any vehicle, running or not.

Tax Deduction

You are entitled to receive a Tax Deduction equal to what the vehicle is sold for if you itemize your deductions. You will receive a tax receipt stating what your vehicle sold for within a few days of the sale of your vehicle. If the vehicle is sold for less than $500, you can deduct the fair market value up to $500.
